Blooming spring garden – prim roses, columbine, sweet woodruff
Weather around these parts has been very unsteady and downright depressing over the last month. We’ve had and early spell of warmth followed by a sharp turn into frosty temperatures. And of course the rain always hits in time for the weekend. Now this yearly cold snap that’s called ‚Frost Saints‘ (Eisheiligen) in German is hopefully behind us. I am really looking forward to some warmer days. After this weekend’s thunderstorm warning is through, of course. Did I mention the weekend thing?! 😉
Boxy sweater, pattern by Joji Locatelli
One good thing about bad weather is of course more knitting time and more time to wear cozy, wooly hand knits. After much thinking and procrastinating and Ravelry projects surfing I caved and started on Boxy. I thought it wouldn’t be flattering on me. But after the episode with The Search for the perfect boxy shirt to combine with skinny jeans or leggings I decided to give it a try. Three skeins of Wollmeise Twin and 6 weeks later — a perfect boxy sweater! It seems like one of those pieces that look flattering on almost everyone. I’ve read it in the project notes of a lot of people: If I had known it would turn out so lovely and would get such a lot of wear I would have knit it sooner/quicker. So true.
