As always the end of a years seems to come way quicker than you think. For us the weeks leading up to Christmas were filled with appointments, to do lists, short dark evenings and before you can even blink it’s a new year. Especially with kids the end of the year is not a particular peaceful time. They are way too hyped about presents, chocolates, school holidays, family visits, snow and whatnot.
Craftingwise 2014 has not been the most productive year. Getting back to my job after 12 months of parental leave took some adjusting. Also dealing with school stuff in the afternoon and a demanding toddler cut into my crafting time. But I think by the end of the year I’ve gotten back into the groove and I’m looking forward to 2015. Berlin will be getting a yarn festival and I am really excited about this. Cannot wait for more info to be had.
Any knitting related new year’s resolutions? I’m not generally one for resolutions because I know myself too well ;o) I have a few unfinished things lying around that I’ll be trying to finish. And non-knitting related: I want to continue to brush up and improve my recorder skills. It has been so much fun making music together with my daughter and husband over Christmas it would be great to make this into an ongoing thing.
Front to back: Aulos soprano recorder, Yamaha alto/treble recorder, no-name tenor recorder
I wish you all a very Happy New Year with lots of interesting crafts projects and always enough yarn on the needles!
