Schnullerkette
I really have no idea what „Schnullerkette“ is called in English. Pacifier lanyard? Soothie clip? Well, it’s this thing where one end is clipped to the baby’s clothing and to the other one you attach a pacifier.
Little Mr. T needed a new one because the old lanyard got chewed through after half a year of constant use. Yes, he cannot live without his Schnuller. No way. Obviously we were lucky with our daughter who never caught the soothie bug. The boy decided after 5 months that a soothie was indeed the most soothing thing on the planet – right after nursing with mommy. Oh well. Keeping those darn things from getting lost is no fun. We needed a lanyard to teether those pesky pacifiers to the kid. Which got even more important once he started to crawl around.
There’s few nice tutorials out there for how to sew one yourself:

- Youtube video „Nähanleitung Schnullerband“ (German)
Basic materials
- Cotton fabric leftovers, bits of jelly roll fabric work really well and do not require much cutting and measuring
- One or two pieces of ribbon
- Clip
- Optional: silicone ring for pacifiers that don’t come with a handle
